Momentum & Validation: Addiguru’s Multi-Sensor Approach Wins ASTRO America Challenge Amidst Strong Q3

The third quarter of 2025 has been a period of significant validation for Addiguru. From being named co-winners of ASTRO America’s prestigious Actionable In-Situ Awareness Challenge to key features in leading industry publications, the message is clear: multi-sensor in-situ monitoring is the future of additive manufacturing, and Addiguru is leading the charge.

Here’s a look at our recent momentum as we head into Q4.

1. Industry Validation: Co-Winner of ASTRO America’s Challenge

Addiguru is proud to be recognized as a co-winner of ASTRO America’s inaugural Actionable In-Situ Awareness Challenge, conducted in partnership with ASTM International and Florida State University’s InSPIRE. The competition featured live demonstrations on industrial-scale metal 3D printers, with judging by leaders from Boeing, RTX, Northrop Grumman, GE Aerospace, the Air Force Research Laboratory, Lockheed Martin and others.

This accolade highlights a crucial industry truth: single-sensor methods fall short.

Current systems often rely on a single optical feed, leaving gaps in detection and delaying defect notification. Addiguru’s multi-sensor platform (integrating optical, LWIR, NIR, and more) provides a full, real-time view into the build, enabling manufacturers to catch problems 50 to 100 layers earlier than optical-only systems.

“Being named among the top-ranked companies in the Actionable In-Situ Awareness Challenge is an exciting milestone for Addiguru,” said Shuchi “SK” Khurana, CEO of Addiguru. “Our multi-sensor analytics platform is designed to provide real-time insight that manufacturers can act on immediately. This recognition validates our approach and underscores the importance of scalable, data-driven quality control for the future of additive manufacturing.”

2. A Pattern of Industry Recognition

This win is part of a broader trend of industry recognition for Addiguru's leadership in the AM space.

  • 3D Adept Magazine (July-August 2025):

We were honored to be featured in the July-August issue of 3D Adept Magazine, a leading voice in the AM industry. The article highlights our technology and discusses the critical shift toward comprehensive, real-time quality control. Read the full feature here

  • Additive Insight Podcast (October 2025):

Our team also had the pleasure of sitting down with the popular Addictive Insight podcast. The conversation dives deep into the practical challenges of AM, the limitations of current monitoring, and how our multi-sensor platform provides the actionable insights manufacturers need. 3. Looking Ahead: The Future is Multi-Sensor at Formnext 2025

As we look toward Q4, this momentum is propelling us forward to Formnext 2025. The challenge is clear: most quality control in metal AM happens after the build, when defects are already baked in.

At Formnext, Addiguru will be showcasing our multi-sensor platform in action—demonstrating how combining optical, thermal, and other data streams lets manufacturers make decisions in real time. It’s not just about finding defects—it’s about acting on them fast.
